Musicians for Melanoma and Other Cancers (M4MOC) - Our Story

M4MOC is a group of musicians and other interested people based in WA and NT who have the common goal of raising money to support research for Melanoma and other cancers. We were established in May 2014. Our major objective was to organise a musical event showcasing popular Perth cover bands from the early 1980's who featured the front man Terry Barker. Terry was the lead vocalist/front man for several Perth cover at that time, such as The Motors/Formula 1, The Xtras and Spiny Norman. He was also closely linked to other bands from that era such as Tuxedo Wave, Mirror Men and Hustler. Terry sadly lost his battle with Melanoma late in 2013. Shortly following Terry's passing, his family and a group of ex-band colleague friends got together and formulated the idea of having a tribute concert featuring the bands Terry performed in as a means of raising money to assist in Melanoma research and awareness.

M4MOC is organising a musical performance to be held at the Charles Hotel in Perth on October 3rd 2014 to raise money for the Melanoma Institute of Australia in memory of Terry.

This webpage has been setup so that people who are unable to attend the concert, or wish to make a donation, can donate to the cause in Terry's memory. Thank you for your generous support.
